Our mission at the Market Gardener Institute is to multiply the number of successful regenerative small farms around the world by empowering current and future generations of growers.
Each year, we partner with organizations dedicated to the future of farming to offer 10 scholarships to growers worldwide. Scholarship recipients receive free tuition to the Market Gardener Masterclass (valued at $2250 USD) – our self-paced, online course designed to elevate your farming knowledge to the next level!

How to apply
Step 1:
Submit a post on your social media and tag us using @themarketgardeners on Instagram and/or @marketgardenerinstitute on Facebook, and use the hashtag #themarketgardenerscholarship.
Ensure your post is public so we can see it!
Post Guidelines
- Include at least three pictures: One of yourself, one of your farm, and a third creative picture that showcases what makes your farming project unique.
- Caption: Tell us about yourself, how you got into growing, why you farm, and how participating in the Masterclass will help you achieve your farming goals. Include the hashtag below.

Fill out the application form and provide a clear description of your commitment to agriculture and to providing fresh, organic food to your local community. Explain how participating in the Masterclass will significantly impact your success and future in agriculture.
Selection criteria
Applicants must:
- Be farmers/market gardeners currently farming as their primary profession and intend to maintain a long-term career in agriculture.
- Use regenerative/organic farm practices that protect natural resources and promote soil life, including cover cropping, crop rotation, composting, and avoiding pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified seeds.
Our selection committee is looking for a clear description of your commitment to agriculture and how participating in the Masterclass will significantly impact your success and future in agriculture.
