Jade Alexis Sands is a Bahamian farmer and agriculture consultant with 13 years of experience. She began her journey as a farm laborer on a two-acre market garden and went on to become an agriculture coordinator, Director of Hydroponics, and now an entrepreneur. Through her initiative, Soil Sista, Jade supports small-scale farmers across the Caribbean with farm design, crop planning, and the creation of youth and community agriculture programs. In 2025, she represents The Bahamas as a rural youth delegate with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). Her mission is to strengthen agriculture capacity across the region, building resiliency, sovereignty, and food freedom.
