Nate Diemer

"Farming in arid climates forces us to be smarter with every resource: by closing the loop between our kitchens, waste streams, and soils, we turn challenges into abundant, regenerative food systems."

About

Nate Diemer is a chef-turned-farmer, research practitioner, and Farm Manager at the University of Arizona’s Cooperative Extension with 6 years of agricultural experience. Starting his agricultural journey on a quarter-acre plot while working in professional kitchens, Nate transitioned full-time to farm management and research, focusing on dryland crop production and circular food systems. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems, Nate leads innovative closed-loop projects. As a Certified Consultant, he empowers growers to build thriving farm models in arid regions while eliminating waste and strengthening local food networks.
